The March VSRA General Membership meeting of 2022 will be held in-person at the newly renovated Portsmouth Renaissance Hotel on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. The speaker for the meeting will be Rear Admiral (RDML) Eric Ver Hage, Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center and Director, Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization, and Sustainment.

 There is an inexhaustible supply of questions regarding coverage under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA or Longshore Act) (33 U.S.C. 901 et seq.). Recently, so many questions arose in one day (six) that I was reminded of my (too) often repeated observation that it is very difficult to answer most coverage questions with an unconditional yes or no.

Registration is now open for the 2022 VSRA Human Resources Professional Development Seminar scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, 2022. 

The February General Membership Luncheon meeting was held at the Portsmouth Renaissance hotel on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. The guest speaker was Congressman Rob J. Wittman, who serves the First Congressional District of Virginia.
