Human Resources Committee Meeting

Labor Day (VSRA Office Closed)

The VSRA office is closed today in observance of Labor Day.

OSHA 10 Hour Maritime Industry Course (September 8-9)

The OSHA-10 hour course awards the 10-hour certification card and meets all of the mandated regulations for the Maritime Industry (OSHA Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR 1915) course in a format that specifically addresses the challenges and environmental conditions specific to the shipyards. In addition, ship yard specific regulations and issues are covered in depth. Instructors are authorized by OSHA endorsed certification programs. Cards are issued through the Instructor's certifying body. All book, material and certification costs are covered in the course fee.

Emergency First Response Certification (September 10)

Emergency First Response training is OSHA approved and internationally accepted.  This course meets the OSHA Guidelines CFR 1910.151 compliance standards for workplace safety.

Cybersecurity Committee Meeting

Please join the VSRA Cybersecurity Committee for a virtual meeting live via Zoom, as we continue to invest in improving the cybersecurity posture of our companies to meet and/or exceed DoD contractual requirements. We will address the following types of questions:

What cyber/privacy threats are currently impacting companies? What are the vulnerabilities that are being exploited by cyber criminals? 

Our discussion will be led by Mr. Tony Dolce, Vice President of Chubb North America Finanical Lines Claims Division, & will be moderated by Mr. Alan Delahunty, Vice President, Commercial Lines Agent at McGriff. We will review trends in cyber claims, including data breaches and other cyber threats that can impact the marine and government contracting industry.

25th Annual Safety & Health Seminar CANCELLED

VSRA hosts one of the country's most highly regarded maritime-related Safety & Health seminars each year for the benefit of its members and employees. This event is sponsored by the Safety Committee. This is a dynamic day of presentations, activities and networking for employees who ensure their personal safety and those around them.
